Cimarrón 2025
A hybrid international event
A unique opportunity to celebrate creations of African and Creolized ancestry
A word from the President

Our project aims to create an innovative online exhibition which, for the first time, brings together artists from Africa, Afro-descendant communities, the Caribbean, the Mascarenes and creolized territories, while offering an artistic residency in Belgium to two selected artists. This initiative aims to promote emerging talents (painters, illustrators, sculptors, videographers, visual artists, digital artists, etc.) from these regions by offering them international visibility and collaboration opportunities.

olivier Joureau, President and Founder of the Cimarron project

A unique concept

Cimarron 2025 is a revolutionary hybrid exhibition that merges an immersive 3D virtual space thanks to our partner ANASAEA and which will also be open to the public in the presence of curators and exhibition curators via Twitch and interactive screens at Galerie Non Peut-Être in Auderghem, Brussels.

This unique experience offers African, Afro-descendant and Creole artists an international platform to present their works and interact with the public. The Gallery will also host artistic residencies in 2026 for the artists awarded prizes at the two jury sessions.

Opening March 8, 2025
